A collaborative, team based approach is a significant component of a working therapeutic relationship, and together we will work to establish this as a foundation for desired change. I will join with you to support you in gaining awareness of your strengths, while drawing upon them to overcome challenges.
I earned a Master’s degree in Social Work, with a clinical focus, from Bryn Mawr College in 2011. I continued on to complete a Master’s degree in Law and Social Policy in 2012. I received additional training through the Center For Child and Family Well-Being at Bryn Mawr College from 2009-2011, which bolstered my ability to work effectively with children and families. I have a strong background providing clinical services to children, adolescents and families in outpatient, private/public school and residential settings. In addition to working with Bloomgarden, Ostroff & Associates, I currently provide therapeutic services to children/adolescent and adult populations at a community outpatient center in Philadelphia. Most recently, I have received advanced training in trauma informed care.
I draw from a variety of theoretical frameworks in my practice, depending upon the needs of the individual or family. In the interest of providing best practice, I tend to use Cognitive Therapy given its evidence base for effectiveness. Additionally, I incorporate Relational, Psychodynamic, Family Systems and Trauma focused approaches.
