Therapy can be difficult to begin and I recognize the courage it takes to make this commitment to yourself. In this process, I am committed to a practice of non-judgment and empathy as we explore the root cause of the stress or difficulty in your life. We will work collaboratively to bring self-acceptance, creativity, and compassion into your everyday struggles. I work with adults 18 and older experiencing a range of issues that include anxiety, depression, mood problems, relationship challenges, sexuality, LGBTQ issues, stress, grief/loss, trauma and more. Each individual has unique needs that may change over time. Together, we will explore your needs and find the path that works for you.
I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from West Chester University and a Master’s in Social Work from Bryn Mawr College School of Clinical Social Work and Social Research. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Pennsylvania. I have been practicing psychotherapy since 2014 and currently direct a Psychiatric Rehabilitation program geared towards adults experiencing chronic illness and co-occurring mental health challenges. I have worked with those who have experienced trauma, drug and alcohol abuse, violence, homelessness, and parents and children involved in the family court system. I have experience facilitating psychotherapy groups focused on trauma, illness support, anger management, life transitions, and grief/loss.
My approach to therapy is client centered and integrative. I pull from variety of evidence based treatment modalities such as Psychodynamic Therapy, Attachment Theory, Strengths Perspective, Motivational Interviewing, Gestalt Theory, Trauma Informed Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and Solution Focused Therapy to accommodate the individual needs of my clients.
