I believe that one of the best gifts we can give ourselves is the gift of therapy. As human beings we all face challenges in life, but it is important to recognize that our challenges do not define us. Therapy can provide us with a fresh perspective on a variety of issues that we may have not considered on our own. As a therapist, I can help my clients recognize patterns they have developed which may no longer be serving them. I believe in providing a safe and judgment-free space for us to explore together opportunities for growth and any issues that may be preventing you from being your best self.
Some areas of focus include self-esteem, relationships, major life changes, grief and loss and challenges related to LGBTQIA+ populations. I have experience working with individuals impacted by depression, anxiety, social anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, addiction, bipolar disorder, trauma and self-harming behaviors.
I graduated from Temple University with my master’s degree in Social Work. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Pennsylvania. I practice using a strengths-based, client-centered approach. Therapeutic methods I have enlisted include CBT, motivational interviewing and mindfulness. I like to combine a variety of therapeutic modalities some of which include the ideas of existential therapy, family systems therapy, humanistic therapy, relational therapy and psychodynamic therapy. Just as every individual has unique needs, I tailor my practice to what best suits my clients’ goals and preferences.
