I believe healing doesn’t happen in a vacuum and change begins with feeling seen and accepted in our wholeness. Whether you’re feeling stuck, down, anxious, or confused, my goal as your therapist is to create a warm and grounded environment for you to feel safe to come as you are. Therapy is a rare opportunity to slow down, be curious and reflect. It can be an empowering opportunity to connect fully to ourselves, share our story, and challenge ourselves to grow.
My foundational approach is person centered, systemic and strengths based. This means I’ll meet you where you are in every session and tailor our work together to your needs as we go. In addition to using psychoeducation and therapeutic techniques, sometimes we might explore past events or relationships and identify how they’re connected to present-day challenges.
I support clients in areas such as anxiety, ADHD, attachment concerns, relational challenges, life transitions, and trauma. I often incorporate modalities and approaches such as Attachment Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Internal Family Systems (or parts work). Pulling from my yoga teacher training, I also use somatic and mindfulness approaches to bring awareness to the nervous system and how thoughts and feelings show up in the body.
While pursuing my MSW degree from Temple University I worked in a public health research lab focused on supporting community inclusion among individuals with mental health conditions. This research and my coursework have strongly informed my social justice orientation and systemic approach. I am a Licensed Social Worker in the state of Pennsylvania currently pursuing full licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
